Affair cop’s sex texts led to beating at wife’s house

-

A JEALOUS husband lured a police officer – who had an affair with his wife – to their home and beat him black and blue, breaking his arm.

Anthony Teagle, 38, used his partner’s mobile to text PCSO Anthony Morris and invite him round.

He had previously warned Mr Morris off his wife Vanessa, 35, who had a relationship with the cop several years ago.

But Teagle flew into a rage when Mr Morris replied with sexually explicit texts, saying what he wanted to do with Vanessa, before attacking the PCSO at their marital home in Bristol.

Mr Morris suffered two black eyes, a broken arm and several cuts to his head, body and arms during the assault on Feb 19.

Teagle, of Knowle West, Bristol, was later arrested and admitted causing actual bodily harm at Bristol Magistrates’ Court.

Prosecutor James King said: “He had gone to the door with the intention of warning him off but became enraged and punched him in the head. He denied stamping on his head.”

Teagle was released on bail and will appear at Bristol Crown Court next month.
