Firebug burns buses in depot
COPS are hunting an arsonist who torched SIX BUSES in a depot – completely destroying two double deckers and two single deckers.
The firebug struck just after 4am on Monday and is believed to have set the buses on fire one by one just before staff arrived at the depot in Ramsgate, Kent.
More than 20 firefighters tackled the blaze at the depot run by private coach firm Eastonways, but four buses were totally destroyed and two seriously damaged.
Fire boss Paul Cook said he believed the fire had been started deliberately, adding: “By the time was had got there, around four of the six buses were all ready well alight.
“Police and the fire investigation team were trying to ascertain the cause of the fire.”
