CHELSEA will have to do without John Terry at Manchester City tonight – on the pitch at least.

It remains to be seen whether the Blues skipper, ruled out by a knee injury, will still travel to Eastlands today.

And if so he can give caretaker boss Roberto Di Matteo a few helpful pointers from the touchline, like he did during last week’s Champions League game.

The deposed England skipper should be back for Saturday’s showdown with Tottenham.

Di Matteo said: “I expect JT to be OK for Saturday, it’s only short term, we were lucky he came back so early.

“He’s a crucial member of our team and good leader on the pitch.”

Chelsea have won their last four games but City have won every single home game in the league this season.

Yet Di Matteo was confident about his side.

He said: “We are very competitive and we know every run comes to an end.”

“For us, it’s about preventing the City players from expressing themselves.

“They have quality players all over the pitch, from defence right through to the attacking options, so it’s difficult to highlight one area and we will need to have a good organisation.”
