Phone hell of wife who hears hubby threat­ened

A WIFE was speak­ing to her tipsy hus­band on his mo­bile when she heard a man’s voice threat­en­ing him.

Mo­ments later Kevin Har­ri­son, 48, was punched to the ground and he died a week later.

On Tues­day his widow told how she had heard him be­come in­volved in an ar­gu­ment in Bed­ford town cen­tre.

Pa­tri­cia Har­ri­son, 45, told Lu­ton crown court: “He said ‘Don’t worry I am fine, I have not been ar­rested or stabbed. I have been a good boy.’ It did make me laugh a lit­tle bit.

“I heard an­other voice say ‘What the f*** are you look­ing at?’ and I heard Kev say ‘What do you mean, what am I look­ing at?’”

“His voice seemed to get fur­ther away, and I was scream­ing down the phone say­ing ‘Kevin what’s hap­pen­ing?’ Then it went dead.”

She was giv­ing ev­i­dence on day one of the trial of Ravi Sandhu, 24, who is al­leged to have thrown the punch at Mr Har­ri­son in the early hours of Sun­day Septem­ber 11 last year.

Mr Sandhu, of, Bed­ford pleads not guilty to man­slaugh­ter.

The trial con­tin­ues. ONE of the coun­try’s tini­est cot­tages is set to go un­der the ham­mer for £60,000.

The lit­tle house in Wick­ham Mar­ket, near Wood­bridge, Suf­folk, is packed into just 325 sq ft.

It comes com­plete with a sit­ting room, kitchen, land­ing area and be­d­room, an out­side WC and store shed.

The sit­ting room mea­sures 10ft 11in by 8ft 6in, and the be­d­room is just 9ft 6in by 8ft 3in.

Stu­art Clarke of es­tate agent Clarke and Simp­son, which will sell the prop­erty at auc­tion on April 18 un­less snapped up sooner, said: “It has a land­ing area which could serve as a bathroom.”
