Phone hell of wife who hears hubby threatened
A WIFE was speaking to her tipsy husband on his mobile when she heard a man’s voice threatening him.
Moments later Kevin Harrison, 48, was punched to the ground and he died a week later.
On Tuesday his widow told how she had heard him become involved in an argument in Bedford town centre.
Patricia Harrison, 45, told Luton crown court: “He said ‘Don’t worry I am fine, I have not been arrested or stabbed. I have been a good boy.’ It did make me laugh a little bit.
“I heard another voice say ‘What the f*** are you looking at?’ and I heard Kev say ‘What do you mean, what am I looking at?’”
“His voice seemed to get further away, and I was screaming down the phone saying ‘Kevin what’s happening?’ Then it went dead.”
She was giving evidence on day one of the trial of Ravi Sandhu, 24, who is alleged to have thrown the punch at Mr Harrison in the early hours of Sunday September 11 last year.
Mr Sandhu, of, Bedford pleads not guilty to manslaughter.
The trial continues. ONE of the country’s tiniest cottages is set to go under the hammer for £60,000.
The little house in Wickham Market, near Woodbridge, Suffolk, is packed into just 325 sq ft.
It comes complete with a sitting room, kitchen, landing area and bedroom, an outside WC and store shed.
The sitting room measures 10ft 11in by 8ft 6in, and the bedroom is just 9ft 6in by 8ft 3in.
Stuart Clarke of estate agent Clarke and Simpson, which will sell the property at auction on April 18 unless snapped up sooner, said: “It has a landing area which could serve as a bathroom.”
