Mum led mob in ice rink row
A MUM who led a mob attack on an ice rink boss has been spared jail.
Cleopatra Marcus had booked a party room as a treat for her son’s seventh birthday, Inner London Crown Court heard.
The 26-year-old had gone along to Streatham Ice Arena in south London with 15 adults and 15 children, but got into a row with with rink boss Vanessa Murray.
The court heard how the mum-of-one raged when the party room at the arena was not ready.
After being told that she could have a refund or wait for the room to be prepared, she got angry, then launched an attack in which “The whole mob went for her.”
Marcus was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and was handed a nine month suspended sentence and a supervision order.
