Englebert gets Hump with pants
EUROVISION hopeful Engelbert Humperdinck has urged lusty female fans not to throw their knickers at him during the live contest.
The 75-year-old is the surprise choice to represent Great Britain in the annual competition, this year held in Azerbaijan on May 26th.
And the veteran crooner is worried underwear-lobbers will ruin his performance.
He said: “I would be appalled if any female fans threw underwear.
“I hope not. I just want to be judged for my talent and the portrayal of the song.”
Please Release Me warbler Humperdinck – real name Arnold Dorsey – won armies of female admirers during his 1970s heyday.
He’ll sing new track Love Will Set You Free as the UK’S Eurovision entry.
