Scis­sorhands must leave his blades at home

A STALKER dubbed “Mr Scis­sorhands” af­ter he fol­lowed lone women so he could cut off their hair has been banned from car­ry­ing cut­ting tools in public.

Un­em­ployed tech­ni­cal sur­veyor Dar­ren Dixon, 48, armed him­self with a pair of scis­sors then crept up be­hind vic­tims to snip off their locks.

In one case fa­ther of four Dixon stalked stu­dent Jes­sica Wright, 19, in Manch­ester be­fore cut­ting her hair on a busy street.

On Tues­day, Dixon, of Sal­ford, who ad­mit­ted two charges of as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm, was given an ASBO ban­ning him from car­ry­ing cut­ting tools in public.

He was also or­dered to com­plete a three year com­mu­nity or­der, or­dered to get coun­selling for his be­hav­iour and pay each of the girls £500 in com­pen­sa­tion.
