Teen’s death plunge as cops raid flat

AN 18-year-old woman plunged to her death from a 17th floor window moments after police entered to make an arrest.

Police said they arrived at the block of flats in Woolwich, south-east London, at around 9.30am on Tuesday morning.

But within moments of storming in, the woman fell to her death from a bedroom window.

It is not yet known if she leapt in an attempt to get away from the police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they were visiting the tower block as part of a recall to prison inquiry and were still waiting for the dead teen to be identified.

A man was arrested by officers on suspicion of assisting an offender and is currently in custody.
