Hoops boss Neil Lennon will turn his sights to the free agent if he fails with a £2million bid for Fraser Forster.

Forster has spent two seasons on loan at Parkhead, but Gordon is being lined-up as replacement if Newcastle decide not to part with their third-choice stopper. A persistent knee injury has limited the Scotland international to 87 Premier League games in five seasons at the Stadium of Light. But that won’t stop Lennon taking a gamble on the former Hearts stopper if Forster

proves to be a no-go.
