Jason turns down £20m for Fast film
BRITISH movie hardman Jason Statham has turned down an astonishing £20MILLION deal to star in the next two Fast and Furious films.
Rugged tough-guy Jason had been handpicked by Hollywood executives to appear in the next adventure in the franchise, Fast Six.
Producers will film the pair of car-driving action epics back-toback in Europe.
And Jason ( above) – who is dating model Rosie Huntington Whiteley – was set to become the successful series’ new leading man.
Last night, an insider claimed: “There was a lot of money on the table but they just couldn’t work out a deal.
“There was talk of him being offered up to £20million to take on the roles, but sometimes it’s not always about the money, other contractual matters come into play.”
Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel are expected to return to their roles for the films, which will be set in the UK and Germany.
