DOCTOR ‘GROPED PATIENTS ON THE OPERATING TABLE’ LOHAN behold, Lin’s nips!
He struck while they were out cold, hearing told
A DOCTOR leered at naked patients and fondled their breasts as they lay out cold in hospital whilst under anaesthetic, a medical tribunal was told.
Dr Stephen Graham, 54, is said to have cupped the breasts of one sedated woman with his hands during surgery, then made a ‘cleavage gesture’ to nursing colleagues saying it was his ‘Wonderbra technique’.
Consultant anaesthetist Dr Graham is alleged to have touched three women inappropriately whilst working at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
The doctor is further said to have stared ‘inappropriately’ at two other female patients undergoing an intimate treatment, telling a nurse not to request another female staff member to help.
A General Medical Council hearing was told the doctor moved one patient’s legs and shone a light on her private parts for no apparent reason.
On another occasion he held a patient’s breasts as he listened to her heartbeat with a stethoscope.
Dr Graham faces misconduct charges after nurses made complaints against him following alleged incidents involving seven patients dating back to March 2006.
Counsel for GMC, Bernadette Baxter, said one sedated young woman was stared at inappropriately as she was being prepared for theatre.
Ms Baxter added: “He moved towards the patient’s legs then got the examination lamp to illuminate the patients pubic area.”
A nurse Deborah Troy was said to be surprised and asked the doctor what he was doing but he didn’t respond.
Ms Baxter continued: “Dr Graham effectively stared at the patient’s naked vaginal area.
Dr Graham denies misconduct. The hearing continues.
