after the threat of a big suspension.
But Balotelli only got a three-match ban and Mancini is now considering playing the volatile hitman in the title showdown with Manchester United later this month.
Balotelli insists he will stay at City this summer and he is using Tevez as his inspiration as he tries to salvage his City status.
Tevez has gone from hero to villain and back to hero, after returning from his self-imposed exile to shoot City towards a dramatic title clash with the Reds.
And Balotelli said: “My point of reference is Tevez.
“When I came here, training was about having a good time.
“Instead I’m learning from him to always give the maximum every day.”
And Balotelli is happy to turn down the attention from the two giant Milan clubs and pledge his future to the Blues and Mancini.
Balotelli added: “I don’t have any nostalgia for Italy. The Premier League is serving me very well.
“Why do people always talk of Inter and Milan? I’m at City and I have no intention of changing shirts.
“I think only about winning the title because I am sure that United will make mistakes – certainly in the match against us, and then, who knows?”
