Teenage girl locked up for court giggles
A TEENAGE girl had the smile wiped from her face when a judge locked her up - for laughing in court.
Jade Francis, 19, continually giggled as she stood in the dock accused of refusing to give evidence at a trial.
Judge Recorder Greg Bull asked her: “Do you think this is all a joke?”
He then told prison officers to take her down to the cells at Cardiff Crown Court.
Francis, of Rumney, Cardiff, was taken to court for failing to answer her witness summons in a burglary trial.
She was locked up for a day and told she will have to give evidence when the trial is held.
