Jeremy Kyle mum given court order
A LAZY mum-of-four who watched Jeremy Kyle on daytime TV while making two daughters run the family home has appeared in court.
Cardiff Crown Court heard the girls, who now live with another relative, were expected to care for their younger brother and sister.
In the mornings, they had to wake them, give them breakfast and take them to school.
Prosecutor Jeremy Jenkins said: “She is a mother who has inadequately brought up two young girls.
“She would regularly watch Jeremy Kyle instead of caring for her children.”
Lucy Crowther, defending, said the mother was “doing her best” with no job and little money at the family home near Cardiff, South Wales.
The woman, who is in her 30s and cannot be identified in order to protect her children, also “had a go” at the girls after drinking and offered them cans.
She was found guilty of assaulting one girl and ill treating them both by requiring them to take on her parental responsibilities and was given a three-year supervision order.
