Gripe hour can last a third of the year!

WE spend 106 days of our lives moaning to friends and family about WORK, says a new study.

Gripes include long hours, low pay and a nightmare boss, with the average worker whinging for more than 14 minutes every day.

Those who work in beauty, construction and healthcare drone on the most at the end of a hard day’s work.

And those in law, media and real estate complain the least, the study by sofa specialist DFS found.

On average, women offload their worries to loved ones for 16 mins a day and men for just 13 mins.

Most popular moans include pay (45 per cent), deadlines (42%) and commuting (24%).

Other issues include hours, bosses and self-confidence.

Almost one in 10 complain about taking work home or being bombarded with emails on their phone outside office hours.

The amount of time spent moaning about work is almost the same across the public and private sectors.

And workers in the North East moan the most, at 24mins a day, with those in the West Midlands the least – at just under 10mins.
