end of the world if Arsenal lose Van Persie and hopes Wilshere puts his injury troubles behind him WEST BROM striker Simon Cox is a target for Swansea boss Michael Laudrup.

But it is believed no concrete bid has been received by the Baggies for the Republic of Ireland international (above).

Albion boss Steve Clarke confirmed that an offer for Cox from relegated Blackburn had been rejected.

It is believed West Brom have had several inquiries for Cox.

Cox would prefer to stay in the Premier League to aid his hopes of becoming a regular starter for his country.

Clarke insists that Long, who joined Albion from Reading 12 months ago, is not for sale despite speculation linking him with a move back to his former club.
