School miss ‘love’ affair with girl, 14
A TEACHER claims she fell in love with a teenage girl she taught and who she confessed to sexually abusing.
Kimberly Ali, 28, faces charges of sexual conduct with a minor as well as sexual abuse over her relationship with the 14-year-old.
The pair struck up contact through text messages and Facebook and at the end of the school year Ali gave the teen a leaving present of a jewellery box and a recording of her saying she loved her.
Prosecutors say they became intimate last month when Ali started driving the girl to shop in Phoenix, Arizona, and they had “sexual contact” in her parked car.
Ali also took her home where they touched each other’s privates.
The girl’s mother found sexting messages on her phone and told cops who set up a call between the two in a bid to catch Ali out.
When police arrested her she admitted to texting, sexting and abusing the girl.
She told cops: “I think I fell in love with her and I just stopped thinking about her age.
“It was a mistake.”
