Mums wearing dads’ trousers
STRAIN YOUR BRAIN WITH OUR QUIZ PAGES
IT’S now MUM who wears the trousers, when it comes to jobs like DIY and carving the roast, according to a new study.
The research shows that in seven out of 10 British homes, men now leave their other half to decorate, put up shelves and assemble furniture.
And more than half of men conceded that it’s because their wife or partner is better at these kind of tasks than them.
Two-in-three men also admitted they don’t know how to wire a plug, while one-in-five confess they don’t know how to light a barbecue.
The survey, of 2,103 men and women, was carried out by barbecue firm Bar-Be-Quick, whose spokeswoman said: “Men across the country are now being outperformed by women in their own areas of expertise.”
