ALAN PARDEW has been told there should be no Greek tragedy for Newcastle.

Toon travel to Athens for Thursday’s first-leg Europa League qualifier boosted by their opening day win over Spurs.

And Nikos Dabizas sees no reason why Pardew’s men can’t stretch their winning start to the campaign against the minnows from Greece.

Atromitos will see their modest 10,000 capacity Persisteri Stadium packed to the rafters for one of the biggest games in their history.

Former Newcastle and Greece defender Dabizas – who clocked up more than 150 games in six years on Tyneside – reckons the tie to see who makes it through to next month’s group stage will be a mismatch.

He insisted: “For me, this isn’t a difficult tie for Newcastle.

“Atromitos have no history – Newcastle will have to play very poorly for there to be a shock.”

Hatem Ben Arfa is banned for a red card while playing for Marseille in 2010 and Pardew will ring the changes for Newcastle’s return to Europe after a five-year gap.
