A MARTIAL arts fighter has admitted butchering a friend ALIVE and burning his heart on a stove while high on magic mushrooms.

Jarrod Wyatt, 27, a mixed martial arts fighter, killed fellow MMA scrapper Taylor Powell in a frenzied attack.

The victim, 21, was found dead on a couch when police arrived at the scene. His tongue was cut out, his chest carved open and his charred heart was found in a wood-burning stove.

An autopsy showed that Taylor had been butchered while he was still alive.

Wyatt, from Requa, North California, was naked and smeared with blood from head to toe.

He told officers: “I killed him.”

Wyatt (above) pleaded guilty to first-degree murder involving mayhem and was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison.

The two men had eaten hallucinogenic mushrooms before the attack, prosecutors said.

Under the plea deal, he will be eligible for parole in 2062.
