Crash vic­tim’s 3 days in ditch

A MO­TOR­CY­CLIST has been found se­ri­ously injured in a road­side ditch al­most THREE DAYS af­ter he crashed.

The 40-year-old man, from Goole, East Yorks, spent three nights in the open be­fore he was spot­ted ly­ing in wa­ter by res­cuers.

He was is now be­ing treated at Don­caster Royal In­fir­mary for in­juries in­clud­ing bro­ken ribs and hy­pother­mia.

Hum­ber­side Po­lice said the man was re­ported miss­ing by his part­ner af­ter he failed to turn up for work a day af­ter she last spoke to him.

On Fri­day, cops found a small amount of de­bris from a mo­tor­bike at the side of the A614, just north of Thorne.

Fire­fight­ers and paramedics were called to join the search and the man was found 6ft down a ditch.
