AFTER the Biblical flooding of the past few days, there’s some respite on Wednesday, with only a few drops troubling the south of England and Wales. Drier further north and east. Temperatures reaching 15C in the south of England, just 10C in the far north of Scotland. Thursday will be mainly dry again, with only a few splashes of the wet stuff in the south east quarter of England.

OUTLOOK: Mainly dry, though with heavy showers in the west of Scotland.
