Train bog death probed by cops
RAIL cops are investigating after a train passenger died on the bog.
The man in his 40s was found slumped on a toilet seat when the train pulled into a station.
Firefighters had to break into the locked train toilet to free the man yesterday.
It is believed the man may have had a heart attack and died while locked in.
The alarm was raised when another traveller tried to use the toilet on the Great Bedwyn to Reading train as it pulled into the station at Newbury, Berks.
The firefighters smashed the toilet window of the small cubicle and unlocked the door from the inside to rescue the man.
He was then treated by awaiting ambulance staff but declared dead at the scene.
