I nearly got court at Wimbledon!

Midweek Sport - - THURSDAY SEPT 27 -

ON Monday I went to Wimbledon with a friend of mine who is a member there and it was amazing.

I had an access all areas pass and I went everywhere possible.

I even stood in the Royal Box where the Queen sits! And I saw where Prince William and Kate sit as well.

I also went on the Royal balcony where they all stand and I even got to stand in the middle of centre court.

We had a sneaky peek into the men’s warm-up room where Andy Murray gets ready for action and also the ladies’ changing rooms.

I even sat in the tea room where the Queen has cake!

It was an amazing opportunity. I’ve been to Wimbledon to watch the tennis before but I have never been behind the scenes and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

My friend was laughing at how excited I was and how many pictures I was taking.

They told us we

weren’t allowed to take pictures but obviously I wasn’t taking any notice of that!

I spotted the ladies’ trophy in the display cabinet and I really wanted to get a picture of it even though they told us we couldn’t.

I was standing there taking a cheeky pic when the Chairman of Wimbledon walked in and nearly caught me!

It was such a fantastic day – it really made my week and cheered me up in this very miserable weather.
