ROVERS’ YELLOW PERIL
NORWICH v DONCASTER
BRADLEY WIGGINS has nothing on the Doncaster squad – who are trying to avoid their own version of the yellow jersey.
Olympic cycling ace Wiggins earned the iconic shirt for becoming the first Brit to win the Tour de France this summer. But for Dean Saunders’ troops their version of the yellow jersey isn’t quite so prestigious, as it’s handed to the player deemed to have had the biggest nightmare in training each day. League One Rovers travel to Norwich tonight and winger David Cotterill (left) revealed: “We’re all up for it in training to make sure we avoid the yellow jersey.
“No-one wants to be seen as the worst trainer.”
The Canaries are without a league win this season ahead of their banana-skin round tie with the Yorkshire side.
Even so, Chris Hughton will rest most of his big names before Saturday’s Premier League clash with fellow strugglers Liverpool.
The Canaries boss said: “It’s fair to say there will be a few changes.
“The spirit in the camp’s still very good and that first league win isn’t far away if we keep playing like we have been.”
