Pensioner murdered by call girl, court told
A LONELY widower was murdered in his bedroom by a Russian call girl and his body left for nearly a month, a jury heard yesterday.
Winston Fernandez died of multiple injuries during a visit by escort Natalia Woolley.
Police found the 69-year-old’s decomposing body slumped against his bed with signs of a struggle around him, a prosecutor said.
William Saunders, opening the case against Woolley, said the victim, from Epsom, Surrey, was “difficult”.
He said: “Fernandez was a 69-year-old man who lived alone. His wife had died in 2000 and he was estranged from his two sons.
“He was a lonely old man who frequently found comfort in alcohol. He had also started to use the services of girls from escort agencies.
“He used them for company and for sex, and one such girl was Natalia Woolley.”
Mr Saunders told jurors at Guildford Crown Court that Fernandez was an alcoholic, suffering from bi-polar and high blood pressure.
Woolley, originally from Russia, had worked for agencies including Diamond Escorts and 24Carat, posing as a 26-year-old called Lenka, or Alice.
The 38-year-old’s profile described her as “all things to all men”, with an “incredibly sexy, curvaceous body”.
Pretty Woolley, with blonde, streaked hair, wearing pink-rimmed glasses, denies the single count of murder.
The trial continues.
