Banker jailed for inside job
A BANK manager who helped plan an armed robbery at her own branch was one of six jailed for a total of 73 years.
Christabelle Amoah, 28, deliberately timed putting out rubbish at her branch of the Halifax so that two men armed with handguns could force their way in through the back door and take £100,000 in cash.
The two men, Wayne Sefaah, 27, and Lee Palmer, 33, were disguised as workmen as part of the ‘inside job’.
They threatened staff and terrified customers at the bank in Mitcham, south London, and forced them to lie on the floor while a member of staff was ordered at gunpoint to open the door to the counter and safe area.
At Kingston Upon Thames Crown Court, Amoah was jailed for 12 years for conspiracy to rob.
