Gypsy’s cleavage banned from TV
TWO adverts for Channel 4’s Big Fat Gypsy Weddings have been banned for showing two travellers exposing their cleavage and a young gypsy lad staring ‘aggressively’ into the camera.
The billboard ads – seen all over the UK – were part of a campaign to boost viewing figures for the top-rated TV programme.
At its height the show racked up 8.7million viewers.
The Advertising Standards Authority acted receiving nine complaints.
It banned two of four poster ads saying they were irresponsible and offensive.
The first ad showed a gypsy lad aged around 10 staring aggressively.
The other showed two girls looking seductively into the camera exposing their cleavage.
