Frankie: TV bosses made me booze for X Factor fall

Midweek Sport - - FRONT PAGE -

X FACTOR reject Frankie Cocozza reckons he was set up by bosses on the reality TV show last year.

The 19-year-old singer says he was ordered by producers to get drunk – and blames his boozy antics on them.

Lothario Frankie ( above) was booted out of the show for taking Class A drugs and thinks he was used to drum up publicity for the ailing programme.

He said: “I hope no one this year gets treated like I did. I was the only one who was allowed to party.

“People who worked with the producers would tell me I could have VIP access and free drinks at all the nightclubs.

“I was only 18 and too stupid to realise they were setting me up for a fall.”

He reckons the ITV1 show – which caused controversy at the weekend when judge Louis Walsh bungled the eviction – is now a laughing stock.

He added: “The ratings are going down as it gets more of a joke.”
