Women ditch chores to live like TOWIE

Midweek Sport - - FRONT PAGE -

WOMEN are ditching household chores in favour of partying and pampering themselves, a new study shows.

Nearly half of women – 45 per cent – say they try to copy the party lifestyles of stars of hit reality shows The Only Way Is Essex and Made In Chelsea like Georgina Dorsett (above).

Four in ten women now spend three hours or less per week on household chores like cleaning, ironing and washing clothes.

And six in ten women spend three hours or more weekly on nights out, wining and dining, shopping and treats.

Over a quarter of women – 26 per cent – devote six hours or more a week to enjoying themselves.

Young women aged 18-25 do the least housework with 57 per cent doing three hours or less a week.

In that age group, 15 per cent give up only one hour a week for mundane household tasks – and three per cent admit they do no housework at all.

The survey of over 1,000 adult women was carried out by Vaseline.

– but I couldn’t find any.
