A SAILOR wept as he was jailed for nine months for a sav­age at­tack out­side a night­club.

Shock­ing CCTV footage cap­tured the bru­tal as­sault as Nathan Egan PUNCHED his vic­tim to the ground, dragged him to­wards a wall and STAMPED on his head.

The 23-year-old then ri­fled through his vic­tim’s pock­ets as he lay un­con­scious on a busy street in Ply­mouth.

Marine en­gi­neer Egan joined war­ship HMS Ocean in May, the same month as the bru­tal at­tack, Ply­mouth Crown Court heard.

His vic­tim, Mark John­son, suf­fered a bro­ken nose and abra­sions to his arms.
