PAIR-FECT TOON TONIC FOR PARDS
ALAN PARDEW has been handed a double derby fitness boost.
The Newcastle boss is set to welcome back crocked duo Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor for the Wear-Tyne clash with Sunderland.
Toon have badly missed the central defensive pair and were all at sea at the back as they shipped three goals in their heaviest home defeat under Pardew, 3-0 to Manchester United.
Coloccini has missed the last three games with a hamstring problem and Taylor has been out for two matches with a calf niggle.
But they are both ready to return to training this week.
Pardew said: “You look at certain players for a game like the one at Sunderland and they both know what it’s all about.”
