Household bills to push inflation

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

HOUSEHOLDS have been warned that the latest inflation figures – which hit their lowest level for nearly three years in September – were “as good as it gets” for some months, as rising energy bills are expected to push up the cost of living.

Official figures showed consumer prices index (CPI) inflation fell to 2.2% last month – down from 2.5% in August and the lowest level since November 2009.

Experts predict rising energy, food and fuel costs will push inflation back up past 2.5%.
