Family were a ‘feral pack’

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

THREE sisters and two brothers acted like a “feral pack” when they attacked a neighbouring family in their own home.

Members of the Richards clan punched and kicked a couple and assaulted their son, then 15, a court heard.

One brother, Joseph Richards, threw a brick through a front window in a “revenge attack” as a neighbours’ dispute in Plymouth turned violent.

He has now been locked up for 56 weeks in a Young Offenders’ Institute.

Victim Dean Mewton, 55, who was left with a fractured jaw, branded the five siblings “the family from Hell”.

The judge at Plymouth Crown Court had earlier meted out suspended jail terms, unpaid work and curfews on the rest of the Richards family, whose ages range from 17 to 32 after they admitted violent disorder.
