Speeding Gregg’s £1k driving fine
MASTERCHEF star Gregg Wallace has been fined £1,330 and given six points on his licence for speeding.
The star of BBC’s hit cookery show was caught doing 82mph in a 50mph zone in his Jaguar XK on April 22.
The former fruit and veg seller, 47, of Seasalter in Whitstable, Kent, pleaded guilty after being caught by a safety camera van.
Katherine Barrett, from the Kent and Medway Safety Camera Partnership said: “On this stretch of road, there were eight deaths before the camera was installed and two in the last three years.
“We do not want to catch people speeding, we would like them to drive within the speed limits to reduce crashes and casualties.
“We offer Speed Awareness courses to drivers who are within a certain threshold, but excessive speed cases such as this are referred to court.”
