STUNNED golfers nearly choked on their tee when a live SHARK dropped from the sky on to the middle of their course.
The fish had puncture wounds where it appeared a bird had snagged it from the ocean a whopping FIVE MILES away.
The 2ft long leopard shark flapped around near the 12th hole before being plucked off the grass by workers at the San Juan Hills Golf Club, California.
It was stuck in a bucket of water using sea salt from the kitchen and photographed before being released back into the sea.
Melissa McCormack, operations director, said: “It was just wriggling around. He needed to get to the ocean right away.
“Honestly, this is the weirdest thing that’s happened here.”
