MICK IN THE THICK OF IT
IPSWICH are currently interviewing a shortlist of candidates for their managerial vacancy.
Town chief exec Simon Clegg has confirmed the club has whittled down the number of applicants to just a few.
The news comes as ex-Wolves boss Mick McCarthy emerged as the favourite for the job.
“We received a number of applications for the manager’s role from many respected names,” Clegg said.
“Having sifted through the applicants, we have now drawn up our shortlist and interviews are under way.”
