NANI is set for a first start in more than a month as he looks to nail down his Manch­ester United fu­ture.

The winger (left) was a tar­get for Zenit St Peters­burg be­fore the trans­fer dead­line and his sit­u­a­tion at Old Traf­ford is un­clear as he can’t get a game and his con­tract is up in 2014. The 25-year-old was left out of Sir Alex Fer­gu­son’s squad af­ter the 1-0 de­feat at Ever­ton at the be­gin­ning of the sea­son and has not started since the 3-2 home de­feat to Tot­ten­ham last month.

His po­si­tion has not been helped by a re­ported bust-up with re­serve team striker Da­vide Petrucci on the train­ing ground.

And Fer­gu­son un­der­lined his thoughts by draft­ing Ash­ley Young straight into his start­ing line-up af­ter two months out with a knee prob­lem for the 3-2 win at Chelsea – which saw Nani warm­ing the bench again.
