NANI is set for a first start in more than a month as he looks to nail down his Manchester United future.
The winger (left) was a target for Zenit St Petersburg before the transfer deadline and his situation at Old Trafford is unclear as he can’t get a game and his contract is up in 2014. The 25-year-old was left out of Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad after the 1-0 defeat at Everton at the beginning of the season and has not started since the 3-2 home defeat to Tottenham last month.
His position has not been helped by a reported bust-up with reserve team striker Davide Petrucci on the training ground.
And Ferguson underlined his thoughts by drafting Ashley Young straight into his starting line-up after two months out with a knee problem for the 3-2 win at Chelsea – which saw Nani warming the bench again.
With another key Premier League match to come against Arsenal on Saturday, Fergie is set to employ a fringe side for a second trip to Stamford Bridge in four days. As well as a
