...but don’t worry, it’s only on Youtube

A VIDEO of New York ablaze after a missile attack has been posted online by North Korea.

The footage – which is convincing enough to strike fear into the hearts of every American – shows a US city that looks suspiciously like Manhattan engulfed in flames after an assault.

The clip has been uploaded to YouTube by North Korea’s official website, Uriminzokkiri, which distributes news and propaganda from the state media.

The dream sequence begins with a young man seeing himself on a North Korean space shuttle, launched into orbit by a rocket similar to those tested last year.

As Michael Jackson’s hit We Are The World plays, the shuttle circles the earth, as the camera zooms in on the countries below – which include a reunified Korea.

Then the focus shifts to a city covered in the US flag.

Skyscrapers are either on fire or crumbling and a caption says: “Somewhere in the United States, black clouds of smoke are billowing. It seems the nest of wickedness is ablaze.

“Despite all kinds of attempts by imperialists to isolate and crush us… never will anyone be able to stop the people marching toward a final victory.”

North Korea, which is ruled by dictator Kim Jong-un, is expected to carry out a nuclear test in response to US sanctions imposed after a rocket launch last year.

LEADER: Kim Jong-un
