‘Red mist’ dad rammed car into busy traffic
A DAD has been jailed for using his 4x4 as a “battering ram” to shove the car of his estranged wife and her new lover into a busy lane of oncoming traffic.
Stephen Baker, 46, who had his son and daughter in the car, also used it to push the lovers’ vehicle into a fuel pump at a petrol station.
He admitted he “lost it” after failing to save his 26-year marriage and tailgated the couple around Totton, Hants, in “a red mist”.
Unyime Davis, defending, said Baker had gone through 11 weeks of turmoil trying to save an “extremely happy marriage”.
She said he lost it when he felt he was being mocked by the pair.
Father-of-two Baker was jailed for four months at Southampton Crown Court.
