ENGLAND IS BEST PLACE FOR SANTON
DAVIDE SANTON insists he won’t be joining Mario Balotelli back in Italy.
Newcastle’s in-demand defender reckons the Premier League is the place to be despite his big pal Super Mario quitting Manchester City to return home.
AC Milan are keen on Santon after landing £20million striker Balotelli – but their inquiries last month came to nothing.
The former Inter Milan full-back is settled on Tyneside, 18 months after his £7m move from the San Siro.
And the 22-year-old believes he can win back his place in the Italy side.
Santon said: “At the moment this is the only place to play for me.
“The Premier League is better than Serie A and better than La Liga.
“Playing at Newcastle has helped me get back into the Italy squad and the Italian national coach is happy with me.”
