IN­TER MI­LAN have been fined £12,900 by Serie A af­ter racist chants were di­rected at AC Mi­lan striker Mario Balotelli dur­ing Sun­day’s league match against Chievo.

Former In­ter striker Balotelli, who has scored three goals in two games since join­ing Mi­lan in Jan­uary, was the tar­get of a sec­tion of Ner­az­zurri fans who sang racist chants about him to­wards the end of each half.

In­ter pres­i­dent Mas­simo Mo­ratti said: “I’m very sorry and I really hope it doesn’t hap­pen dur­ing the Mi­lan derby on Fe­bru­ary 24.”

Ju­ven­tus were also fined £12,900 af­ter their fans sang ter­ri­to­rial songs about Napoli sup­port­ers dur­ing a 2-0 win over Fiorentina.

Napoli were fined the same amount af­ter a laser pen was shone at ref­eree Daniele Or­sato dur­ing a 1-1 draw with Lazio at the Sta­dio Olimpico.
