Drug teen jailed for chicken theft
A TEEN burglar high on drugs who stole a FROZEN CHICKEN from a house has been locked up.
Ian Dodds, 19, was under the influence of alcohol and drugs when he carried out the raid in January.
A court heard he was already on bail for two other burglaries carried out last year.
He’d admitted three charges of burglary at an earlier hearing.
At Teesside Crown Court the prosecution said the victims in both the dwelling burglaries had been at home when the offences were committed.
Dodds was sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders’ institution for each of housebreak-in, to run consecutively.
A concurrent 12-week sentence was also handed the Middlesborough man for a garage burglary.
