Teen admits killing cop outside bar
Doopdy doo… A TEENAGER has admitted killing an off-duty police officer who died after suffering a head injury outside a nightclub.
Dale Dixon, 19, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of PC Chris Findley at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
PC Findley, 33, died in February, 10 days after being knocked to the ground outside Divine Bar in Darlington Street, Wolverhampton.
Chief Inspector Paul Betts said: “This is a tragic case which resulted in the death of a valued member of the police service in Sandwell.”
Dixon, of Bilston, west Midlands, was granted bail and will be sentenced on July 25.
PC Findley was walking past the club when he became involved in a row with a man and women leaving the venue and was left unconscious in the road, police said.
