Brosnan’s daughter loses battle with cancer
PIERCE Brosnan’s stepdaughter has died of cancer at the age of 41 – the same disease that killed her mother.
The James Bond star, who lives in the United States, is reported to have flown back to the UK to be at Charlotte’s bedside.
The mother-of-two (above) died of ovarian cancer on Friday after suffering with the disease for three years.
Brosnan’s first wife, Cassandra, was 43 when she died of cancer in 1991.
The actor, 60, adopted her children, including Charlotte, when he married her in 1980.
The Irish-born star said: “Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity.
“Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl.
“We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon.
“We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences.”
Brosnan has two children with his second wife Keely Shaye Smith: Dylan, 16 and Paris, 12.
