A FEW years ago I lived in Wimbledon village for a bit and it was great when the tennis was on.

There is a real buzz about the place and always a fantastic atmosphere.

It is just an essential part of my summer – going to watch the tennis and eating strawberries and cream and drinking Pimm’s!

I really enjoyed watching the young British hopeful Laura Robson and I was gutted when she got knocked out on Monday. It’s hard to believe she is only 19 and I think she has got a fantastic career ahead of her and she should be really proud of how well she has done this year.

Mind you, I was more gobsmacked when Serena Williams crashed out later the same day – I was sure she would win it yet again.

It was a shame too that Maria Sharapova ( was knocked out so early on – she’s always been my tennis crush.

Last year I saw her walking down the street in Wimbledon and she is even more stunning close up. She stands 6ft 2ins tall and her legs are amazing – they literally go on forever!
