Laughing at a Beeb comedy? That’s funny!
The corners of my mouth travelled upwards and I began to make a strange noise, like a “Ha ha ha!” sound.
The doctor told me not to worry, claiming that I was just doing something called “laughing”.
He even claimed that sitcoms, even BBC ones, are “supposed to be funny”.
That did not seem very likely to me. Did he not watch or
Thankfully, the mystery was solved at the end of the programme:

From the British side we get excellent actors like Chris O’Dowd and Tom Bennett, who were both launched to fame by Channel 4 (in The

Some money, presumably, and permission to perfectly ridicule two of their shows, and, erm,
So, once again, America’s poodle.
But, without them, our comedy is just poo.
