Walliams: I was happiest when I wore girl’s clothes
I’VE been spending a fortune on bikinis lately.
I know it’s been hot but I still look forward to getting away abroad and I like to have plenty of outfits to choose from to attract all the stares on the beach.
I’ve got bikinis in just about every colour and all differint sizes, from quite modest to barely there.
I don’t know why I bother, though – I hardly ever wear the tops! TELLY star David Walliams admits he dressed up as a GIRL as a kid to escape homophobic taunts.
He played Queen Henrietta Maria in a school production of All The King’s Men when he was 11 – and it gave him a feeling of acceptance.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 41, revealed: “I wasn’t a happy child. I was definitely teased for being girly.
“At that time, the biggest insult was being called gay so being on stage was an escape – there I was, embracing my femininity and sharing the joke.
“I think something happened when people were laughing while I was wearing a dress and acting camp.
“I obviously made a connection that this was a way that I could be funny and get approval.
“And that stayed with me.”
