Arthur papers claim tensions are rife in Aussie camp
AUSTRALIA’S pr eparations for the second Test have been plunged into turmoil.
Former coach Mickey Ar thur has alleged in legal papers that opener Shane Watson is a “cancer” in the team.
South African Ar thur is suing Cricket Australia for £2.5million after being sacked 16 days before the Ashes series to bereplaced by former Baggy Green Darren Lehmann.
Reports being used as par t of his case show that tensions between skipper Clarke and for mer vice-captain Watson are rife.
But wicketkeeper Brad Haddin insisted: “The Australian dressing room is fine. Ther e is no feud between Michael and Shane.
“This has not af fected our side. W e ar e her e to play an Ashes campaign. Our job is to get on with this campaign.”
