FELLAINI TO STICK WITH THE TOFFEES
EVERTON chief Roberto Martinez believes he has won his battle to keep hold of Marouane Fellaini.
Both Man United and Arsenal have been considering a move for the Blues midfielder.
Belgian star Fellaini, 25, has a £23million release clause in his contract which expires tonight.
And with Everton on tour in the US, it looks as though Fellaini’s mini-deadline day will come and go without that clause being triggered.
That will mean Everton can ward off potential suitors before the transfer deadline on September 2 with a valuation of up to £30m.
The Toffees will now turn their focus to tying in-demand full-back Leighton Baines to a new contract.
